Temples Ruins of Angkor (Angkor Archaeological Park)

About 20 min drive away from Siem Reap there is Angkor Archeological Park – Angkor Temples Ruins.
Angkor Archeological Park is the one of the most famous archaeological sites of South-East Asia. A huge territory of 400 sq km, which include a famous Angkor Wat, The Bayon Temple and dozens other ancient magnificent ruins, which are almost 1000 years old.
Transport
To spend a day in Angkor Archaeological Park you can rend a bike ($1 per day) if you are ready to pedal quit a lot of km. Or the best solution will be to rend a TUK-TUK, which will cost you $12 for a whole day in the Park. The driver of TUK-TUK will follow you and wait for you as much time as you need.
Fees
To spend a day in Angkor Archaeological Park will cost you $25 for a day and $35 for two. You will be photographed and provided by ID pass which will give you an access to all the temples. Remember to handle you ID pass with you all the time you are in the Angkor Archaeological Park, as you will be asked to show it every time you approach the temple as well as if you take an elephant ride.
Guide
If you are interested in having a tour with a local guide, who you can hire at the Angkor Archaeological Park, be prepared to pay $25 for English speaking guide and up to $50 for French, Spanish, German, Korean, Japanese.
Food and Drinks
One day will be enough for you to visit Angkor Archaeological Park. Get there early in the morning and enjoy whole day in the ruins of Angkor. If you get hungry or thirsty you can always take you breakfast, lunch or dinner at the ruins. Can of coke or any other can’s drink will cost you $1, small bottle of water $0.50, a big one is $1. If you are fancy a can of bear, you can buy it for $2. The food will cost you $3 per portion.
Elephant Ride
Another interesting activity except climb the ruins of Khmer’s temples you can do is take an elephant’s ride. You will be paying $15 per person for a morning ride in the Angkor Thom area. Or you can take an evening elephant ride, when elephant will take you up to the mountain where you will climb on the top to the temple to see sunset from there. Evening ride will cost you $20 – up to the mountain (when you just walk down the hill on your feet. The walk will take you 10-15 min, and it will be easy to go down) or $ 35 for up and down the mountain on the elephant.
